Hello everyone, Taranuka returning to you all after nearly two months of silence from the Skyrim flood. Yes, for now I will not be posting anymore Skyrim pictures now that I have my original loves back in my hands. You see, Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas, I got them back a few days ago. I just recently started playing them again. It was nearly 3 years since my last save file and I couldn't've been happier, about as happy as I was when I first got them on my birthday all those long years ago.
I finished Fallout 3, as finished as I could get with the crashes, ahh Fallout, you never lost your touch with memory hogging, and I'm currently playing through New Vegas. It is a very frameratey eating game given a lot of interior zones and structure that link to the outside from an elevated position, but I am diligently happy. With this playthrough, I'm going Energy Weapons and power armor like the Gary 666: Incandescent Death character Archetype from the New Vegas strategy guide. I'll admit, due to patches that came later in the games life, some of the information in it is wrong, but those are minor things and thus the book still offers a trove of vanilla game content that I still have yet to find in my Fallout career and I will use the Fallout wiki to keep the info up to date.
Thus far I am not level 50 yet and it's taking me a little bit to get used to the whole pick a perk every even number levels, but it's all looked past with just one thing that's always been fun to me. Gambling. That's right, with a minimum of 7 Luck for all you players thinking of going back to old stomping grounds, 7 Luck is what you need to play the best wins at the Casinos. The Vikki & Vance, The Atomic Wrangler, Gomorrah, The Tops, The Ultra-Luxe and The Sierra Madre. And that leads into another factor of New Vegas that I always enjoyed and relished in even, the DLCs. Oh my god I could spend hours upon hours talking about the DLCs for this game and I'm not just talking about the pre-order bundle pack or the extra guns pack here. I'm talking full fledged story DLCs with new environments, new enemies, new weapons and new anything. While I sound like I'm hyping this game like it just got released, I am firing on nostalgia only microfusion cells, hehe, and I can't not talk about this after not playing it for so long. So many memories, so many deaths, so many caps to be swindled and of course the customization of ammo types. Ohh I am in heaven again. So that's what I've been up to as of late everyone, I do hope that whatever you're doing is just as fun as the fun I am currently having with this series, it's a wonderful refresher knowing what transpired later in the series and makes for a wonderful stomper to go back to with new knowledge, I know I have when it came to recruiting a certain Follower with a hella hatred for straight Couriers, but it'll be a joy to put up with him for now getting what I want from him. Once I get there that is, I have a good bit of time to get through to get to his quest and I'll still be accumulating many things along the way.
Wish me luck everyone as I take a trip out West. Back to the Mojave.
That's all I have to say to that, I hope everyone is having fun this year and I hope you're all staying safe first and foremost.
